Hay-on-books

The temperature dropped today, so we took ourselves off to Hay-on-Wye, a tiny market town which has become a town of books. There are 21 bookshops or shops selling books along with other things in a town you can walk around in 20 minutes.

Thomas was in heaven.

We walked along the river, chatted with dogs and their owners and finally ended eating cake and doing the cryptic crossword in a very hip cafe / antique store. A simple and lovely day, followed by an enjoyable evening poking the fire.
